Monday Night Movies Print
Active ImageWith the recent release of Kung Fu Panda 4, why not take a trip back to where the series started?

The library will be showing Kung Fu Panda at 5 p.m., May 13, for Monday Night Movies.

The free family-oriented movie showings also include free pizza, popcorn and drinks.

Kung Fu Panda was the highest grossing animated film of 2008 and centers on a bumbling panda named Po, who is a kung-fu enthusiast. Soon enough, Po is chosen is to study kung fu alongside his idols and defend the Valley of Peace against the treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung.

Adult Take-and-Make Print
Active ImageCelebrate the spring sunshine with this month's Take-and-Make, a Pony Bead Suncatcher.

Each Take-and-Make bag includes one mini pie pan and a bag of approximately 50 beads. You will need access to a grill, oven or toaster oven in which to melt the plastic beads and an oven mitt or spatula.

Just follow the detailed instructions to design your suncatcher and you will have a brighter window.

Visit the library and grab a free bag. These will be available through the month of May.

 
Modern Homesteading Print
Active ImageThe library has lined up an exciting series of adult programs for 2024 on Modern Homesteading.

The third of our six-program series is Raised Bed Gardening with Kymisha Montgomery at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 23.

Montgomery is the Urban Agriculture Coordinator at the Civic Garden Center of Greater Cincinnati. The series also features upcoming programs on food preservation, beekeeping, and composting.

Brick Builders Print
Active ImageThe name has changed, but the chance to have fun and show off your creativity have not.

If you want to show off your Lego-building skills or if you just want to have fun building with your friends, the library is the place you want to be from 6-7 p.m. on the last Thursday of each month.

The Brick Builders meet next May 30 in the meeting room.

Youth ages 5 and up are invited, but we do ask parents to accompany children 7 and under. Legos will be provided, although donations are welcome to help our collection grow. Donations may be dropped off any time at the front desk.

Storytime Print
Active ImageChildren from ages 2-5 will build a foundation for reading success through stories, play and activities. And you are invited to register your child anytime for the library's regular morning storytime sessions.

Morning storytimes are separated into age groups, but we also have our popular Family Storytime from 5-6 p.m. each Monday. No registration is required. Children (and adults) of all ages are welcome to just show up and enjoy a story, songs, crafts and a light snack.

Home Delivery Service Print
Active ImageWe now have the capability to bring the library to you.

The library's new Home Delivery Service provides library materials to homebound residents who reside in the Blanchester Local School district.

You may be eligible for this free service if you are unable to visit the library due to illness, physical or mental disability, lack of transportation, or are temporarily homebound due to surgery or illness.

To register for the program, please call Amanda Johnson at the library at 937.783.3585 or print, complete and return this form.

We will deliver items to registered cardholders each month by appointment as well as pick up items ready for return. Deliveries may be suspended or stopped at any time.
